This canopy, designed by Kate Maestri, shows transparent ceramic colours printed onto a pre-etched glass, and then laminated. The effect of working with transparent enamels in this way adds a glow to the colour that is crucially different from using opaque enamels, even though opaque enamels are slightly translucent.
