Designed by the cartoonist and illustrator Steven Appleby, this tall glass screen with its flowing curved edge is part of the new research and treatment centre for sleep problems
in London's Royal Brompton Hospital. The work is a collage of images: dreams; breathing; phases and difficulties of sleep and is the centrepiece of the building. The work has been manufactured as a toughened and laminated glass with screen-printed enamels on two of the four surfaces.
