The designs for this glass artwork were created by Sir Quentin Blake for Birmingham Childrens' Hospital. The project was sponsored by The Dahl Foundation. We made this 45 sqm project using fired transparent enamels. One panel has twelve different colours, most have eight or nine. The final image was created using two layers of screen-printed glass laminated together. In the images above you can see the rear layer and the finished effect when the top layer is added..
